Most experts don’t have IP.
They have experience they can’t clearly define, structure, or scale.
Want a diagnostic that tells you where you are?
✓ IP is structured.
✓ It's named.
✓ It's repeatable.
✓ It can be taught, sold, or scaled.
The problem
You’ve been doing this for years.
You get results.
Clients are happy.
You’re not a beginner.
But if someone asked,
“What’s your actual method?”
You’d struggle to answer cleanly.
Turning raw intuition and ideas into structured, repeatable frameworks is a lot harder than just “showing up and shining” during one-on-one calls.
And one-on-one calls?
They only work when you do.
You know you need structured, repeatable, differentiated IP.
That’s what it takes to go from delivering a service to delivering expertise at scale.
The IP audit
A structured assessment to see if you have:
✓ a method
✓ a mechanism of change
✓ something repeatable & defensible
The audit covers five dimensions:
-
Not the outcome you promise, but the specific sequence of moves you make and why they work.
-
Is there a framework? Is it teachable? Could someone else learn and apply it, or does it only work because you're the one doing it?
-
Could ten competitors say the same thing? If so, it's not IP. It's a category. The audit tests for genuine distinctiveness at the method level, not just the framing.
-
How does your work create change? This is the most important question most experts answer poorly, not because of a communication problem, but a structural one.
-
A diagnostic, a course, a scalable offer. Raw expertise can't be productized. Structured IP can.
And at the end of the IP audit, you don’t get vague feedback. You get a score and a verdict.
What you get
✓ 90-min live session
✓ Your total score
✓ Breakdown across five dimensions
✓ The key gaps in your IP
✓ Clear next actions
No fluff. No “clarity session.”
A sharp and specific diagnostic with a direct answer to: Do you actually have something you can build on—or not?
IP audit cost
$500
Please note that the IP audit is for established coaches and consultants, typically three or more years into their practice, who suspect their IP is underdeveloped, but haven't had a rigorous way to test that. It is not for beginners who are still building their expertise.
FAQ
-
In this context, intellectual property (IP) is your structured, named, repeatable, and proprietary method for getting results for your clients. If your process only works because you are the one doing it, that’s a job, not IP. True IP is a mechanism of change that can be taught, sold, or scaled without you being present for every minute of the work.
-
Success can actually hide a structural weakness. Many experts reach a revenue ceiling (often around $10k–$15k/month) because their business relies entirely on their physical presence during one-on-one calls or live events. The audit tells you if you have a defensible framework that can be turned into a scalable product.
-
The IP audit is a rigorous diagnostic, designed to evaluate the strength of your methodology and frameworks. Where business coaching often focuses on sales, marketing, and getting out of your own way, the IP audit focuses at the method level.
-
We start with a 90-minute Zoom session, walking through a series of diagnostic questions to evaluate your IP over five dimensions. After the call, and usually within 48 hours, you’ll receive the IP audit report.
-
After the assessment, and usually within 48 hours, you’ll receive an IP audit report by email that includes:
Your total IP score.
A breakdown across five dimensions.
An honest and direct verdict on whether you have a solid foundation for IP development or if your material needs further development.
Identification of key gaps and clear next steps for building or monetizing your IP.
-
This is not for beginners who are still building their basic expertise. If you haven't been operating for at least three years and don't have a real client base yet, you likely don’t have enough material to benefit from an IP audit.
-
All application responses are evaluated for fit. The IP audit is meant for coaches, consultants, and thought leaders with 3+ years of practice and established expertise. If your application details don’t seem like a good fit, you’ll receive a notification, as well as a refund of the IP audit fee, usually within 48 hours of submission.
-
Once you have your final IP audit report, the next steps are usually obvious. If your IP is strong, you can look at productization (courses, tools, scalable offers). If it’s weak or unstructured, the next step is working on IP development to name, structure, and model your methodology and thinking so that it becomes a defensible and buildable asset. Rock Your Genius offers some of these services or can point you to the right resources and service providers, depending on your specific needs.
